The 3300 Series configured with Netopia Embedded Software for Residential and Business Customers is ideal for residential, SOHO, and small business customers.
* High performance Performance-optimized hardware designed coupled with Netopia's legendary embedded software provides the ultimate broadband service platform
* Easy to use Automated configuration or intuitive wizard-based installation makes setup simple and quick
* Secure Robust security features protect PCs and other networked devices from hackers or other unwanted intrusions.
* Feature rich Advanced features are designed to help service providers monetize broadband networks while improving efficiency and reducing costs.
With an eye on performance, Netopia 3300 Series High-Performance gateways incorporate world-class hardware design and Motorola's field proven, feature-rich embedded software. With a wide selection of models and features, the Netopia 3300 Series has the right model for mass deployment to residences and small businesses, from single-PC connections to wired or wireless networking. A common software platform simplifies deployment and management across different types of subscribers.
The Netopia 3300 Series offers a choice of ADSL, ADSL2/2+, or Ethernet WAN connections, and USB, Ethernet, and 802.11g Wi-Fi LAN interfaces The DSL models feature integrated ADSL or ADSL2/2+ modems, and both DSL and Ethernet models are available with 4-port managed switches.
Automatic Provisioning. Upon initial power-up, Netopia 3300 Series gateways can be configured to "phone home" by contacting a pre-designated auto-configuration server (ACS), such as the Motorola Netopia Broadband Server (NBBS) service management platform or another TR-069 ACS. Without subscriber intervention, services are provisioned, gateway software configured, and the correct services activated. This real-time provisioning also helps streamline inventory management by leveraging a common hardware platform that can be customized upon activation.
Security. The Netopia 3300 Series includes Motorola's hallmark routing and security, protecting even single user households from hackers and denial-of-service attacks.
3-D Reach Extreme Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi equipped models feature Motorola's powerful 3-D Reach Extreme Wi-Fi technology for superior wireless range, performance, and coverage, with improved network robustness gained by minimizing interference from products like microwaves, cordless phones, and neighboring wireless networks. Support for Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) assures advanced QoS for wireless delivery of VoIP or video.
High-Value Service Features. For the delivery of high-value services such as VoIP, IPTV, and triple play with maximum service quality, the Netopia 3300 Series delivers the following benefits:
* Broadcast-quality video and crystal-clear voice are assured by Motorola's VGx QoS technology.
* Services from different providers can be delivered concurrently to multiple TVs or devices, while maintaining QoS and rapid channel changing through support for TR-101 and IGMPv3.
* Video-on-demand features like fast forward, pause, and rewind are enabled via RTSP suppor
3.-D Reach Wi-Fi Technology Application
3-D Reach Wi-Fi technology provides superior wireless range, performance, and coverage compared to competitive Wi-Fi solutions.
About 3-D Reach
Motorola's 3-D Reach technology delivers superior wireless range, performance, and coverage using a combination of antenna tuning, advanced radio technology, increased transmit power, and improved receive sensitivity.
3-D Reach uses two radio antennas specifically tuned for both vertical and horizontal range, providing seamless wireless coverage with no dropped connections or dead zones. This dual antennae architecture is specifically tuned for orthogonal antenna diversity as well as azimuth and elevation co-polarization, resulting in superior wireless coverage throughout any residential or small business application.
Advanced radio technology found in 3-D Reach delivers up to double the wireless reach of competitive products, while improving network robustness using unique techniques that minimize interference from products like microwaves, cordless phones, and neighboring wireless networks.
Support for Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) assures that Netopia's 3-D Reach-enabled products apply advanced quality of service (QoS) controls to traffic demands from various applications, including voice, video, music, interactive gaming, and more. WMM defines four access categories (voice, video, best effort, and background) that are used to prioritize traffic so that quality-sensitive services like video and Voice over IP are given priority over less urgent traffic, such as Web browsing.
3-D Reach Extreme is performance optimized to provide maximum performance and consistency from device to device, in a wide range of environments. A highly tuned hardware design incorporating an integrated radio and on-board antenna is tightly coupled with Netopia's powerful embedded software for the ultimate wireless connectivity. 3-D Reach Extreme is available on Netopia 3300 Series Wi-Fi Gateways and Routers and Netopia 7000 Series Wireless Gateways. 3D-Reach Extreme features adjustable radio output of up to 400mW.
3-D Reach Express provides high levels of wireless performance while optimizing cost. 3-D Reach Express is found on Netopia 2200 Series ADSL2+ gateways and Wi-Fi adapters. 3-D Reach Express offers adjustable radio output of up to 200mW.
